Seychellen the most important is ready. It is already january; 4 month time to arrange all. And time flies between big holidays, had to make short visit to Finland to see family once up on the time... and all that was too much. No time to go further with plannings. I have to take myself from neck and shake..can't wait, prices getting higher very soon. If you want to save money, most important thing reservating trip is timing!!! same place same rooms, same trip can be next week dubbel so expensive. all this time , mainly month of november I had time to get into interesting things in south-Africa (this was almost mission inpossible, because the country is HUGE!) I desided to go for main things, what we want to do. so nr1, few days safari, but not too bush bush thing because of Miska's diabetes. We have to be able to get some help if needed. I wanted to go swimming with delfines, because both of kids are fashinated of these creatures. This was possible only at Mozambique Ponta d'ouro. hotels were cheap, only 17 euros//night for 4 of us near delphine centrum and beach. reservated! Going further looking for safaries. Ah, they soooo expensive. This time I want ot have good one. 2 times because I fucked it up; once in Amazone and second time in Sri Lanka. Now, I just have to get it more lux and better quality. lookinf further with gamesafaris at Lobombo an Kruger. tose are closetst to Johannesburg. Wre have only one week, so we can't go too far. I find good pages comparing safaries called "book all safaris" variety from 2days/250 euros until 14days/3500euros. oh jee... readng resencies after an other...checking photos and what's included. lot and lot of differences. most of them offer you a tent. wel. We are not campers, so tent attract us not so much. also Evelina is little bit afraid to sleepin tent with all noices around. No use! Have to check prize class higher...and then yess..I have finally 3 potential places. I send message to all of them, to hear if they can speak good english. I find it also important to be able to communicate good in this case. I get fast answers from all of them, very different kind of. one very short nut friendly in Lobamba, one more intruding and difficult to get answer for specific questions. Hmmm, I don;t have good feeling of it. checking map again...Lobamba is very far away. we have one over, and very very nice people. in offer was not exactly what we were looking for, but they made us perfect option with very good price at Bushwise safaries; 325euros/pp/3days included all entrees, 2 gamesafaries for me and my son, 1 for my husband and daughter, elifant interaction and riding, english breakfast and 3-course-dinners and sleeping in house situated in crocoldileriver where wild animals comes to drink daily, seebras and giraffen enjoying you in garden and top of this there's even swimming pool to cool down. Only thing you have to pay extra is lunch and alcohol beverage. They even offer to get you from Johannesburg and taking you back, but for us is no need. They giving us good hint how to plan our trip further. According these hints I'm facing reality problem with getting over the border to Mozanbique... getting a car which you're allowed to go there, is not so simple. Finally found one, but It is enourmous expensive with documents needed. Finding out also that we're needing visa. I'm checking them out and getting heart attack. visas to Mosambique costs just hunbdreds of euros!!!! we supposed to stay there 3 days...no way I ginna pay 1000 euro extra only for those few days. unfortunately I have to cancel hotel in Mozambique. I even hadn't got any answers from delphiine centrum as yet, so... I think it was better so. Plannings are changing a lot. kids are disappointed that they can't go swimming with delphines. Miska is relieved...he has waterfobia and can't swim so good, but was ready to do it though.
Now it it time to check rest of thing what we want to seelike sightseeing etc. There's sceanery route from Johannesburg to north with exceptional nature attractions and old villages, we wil stil go toza=waziland...only toget stampel in passport. hahah! but then letting kids see typical africans villages with cleyhuts and traditional dansers. I let booking com to sent me offers and letting know when prices going down. I'm glimbsing them through at time to time. best thing are in few days sold out. I can't wait. Africa you can find place from 15euro/pp/night, but hmmm...I'm with kids, who wants to have swimmingpool and with a man, who want to have a bar or restaurant near by to be able to relax. understandable and it is easy. of course. With Miska it is also beter and safer in this kind of places. so,again, reading references, checking fotos, imagine yourself into this place, sending mail for specific request (gluten free breakfast and dinner options). and yes. I'm content. we have it all in in hazywiew cottages. swaziland sleeping first at 3star hotel, second night in cleyhuts. Then I miss only last night before getting back to Johannesburg and home. because Mosanbique days were cancelled, I had to change all the dates also with safaries and first hotel, but fortunatelly this was no problem and no extra costs, even all was already payed. Now in march I was hunting last place to sleep for us. Booking com nothing to find under 350euros a night...puuh, no chance. desperately checking airb&b's. and bingo, somewhere half away of swaziland to Johannesburg, in Ermelo I found rooms for us for 60 euros. puuh1 sending request and next day accepted. ah, what I was relieved!
It IS and it satys exciting to see how the place reallt turn to be. Are they same than you get idea through internet or is it cvomletely something else like in Malediven? wel, one of then in Malediven...
then meanwhile I was also looking for 4wd to rent as I mentioned before . I have no trust for companies after what happened in Sri Lanka, when we never got the car because of lacking international driving license even if my husband is international truckdriver. Those moments I feel like a bull when seeing e red cloth!!! But I'm taking my lessons and reading all little prints veeery carefully. ah, but I just have no time for it. it is toomuch, most of rentcompanies knows exactly how to do it. untilI found oine what seem to be different: Sunny cars. They offer all-in coverage wth aal-in-casco inclusive windiows, wheels, bottom; everything what other companies excludes. Prices are same, only few euros difference, so no need tolook further, just choosing car and servise you want in, exctra price of course. I do one with all-in -casco, express servise, flexcontract and with gps. 8 days 400 euros/4wd. I can live with it. Now I can say, mission completed and I can comcentrate to get everything ready at farm for our holiday... more from that next time.
