Blyde canyon and roundtrip Lobombo

waking up early to see beautiful sunrise over the mountains. monkey family came to visit; jumping from roof to and other, fron trees to fences. was so nice to follow them, when they sit, 4 of them, next to each other and watching sunrise. mother putting her arm over the shoulder of little one. so humans are they! cute! I didn't want to wait too long before going. today was time for scienery route around Blyde canyon. Edwin was not too happy... it would take all day.... hmmm...we are hier and now! we heading south of Blyde canyon going first to have breakfast in Grasskop by Harry's pancakes. got even gluten free pancake with english breakfast. costed around 10?/pp, but we ate really a lot, kids with ice creams and milkshakes on top of everything. It was already after 10 o'clock. I wanted to go, so that we could be on time back for swimming and sliding. ok. first sightseeings were God's window. we took road wrong way around and got wiewpoint with no people. next wiew point they wanted to charge us. of course I wasn't prepared and we already saw it, so we went further. by Lisbon waterfall I went to ask a french couple if they payed. they didn't, but man tried to charge us. wel, it was for principals and we didn't go there. I didn't have too much cash with me and had no glue how much it by potholes would be. so, we drove straight there, checking one sand road on the way... just so beautiful! it was potholes we had to pay 55ran/pp, Evelina free.impressive. after an hour we were ready to go further. I asked what they want. it was 12 o'clock. should we go back same way and be rest of the day by swimming pool or do we drive around and check Mohololo for cheetah. only answer was from Miska and he wanted to give a try. was hour and half drive over the mountain. After half an hour Edwin was almost going to fall in sleep and had no patience for nothing. I desided to take it over. first driving at left. there were hardly traffic, so it was good place to practise. Edwin slept, so I had to take over navigation too. my hands were sweting when passing little black villages with bypassing cows, and goat. further over mountain it was stunning. Everyone else was sleeping. left side there was deep falling of hundreds of meters and right side mountains rised straight to clouds. monkeys, suddenly monkeys and antilopes on the way. concentrating for gearbox. we were going down with 20%, learning breaking with motor while trying to avoid huge potholes here and there. puuh! we arrived alive other side of mountains, Lobombo. places for safaries and game drives. completely different nature but so stunning. Unfortunately I was sitting behind the stearing wheel, so I coudn't take fotos. we arrived to gates of park, and could just drive in. they notice the time of entree and vehicle number. then we were at own safari, between wild animals. wau! we arrived to rehabilitation center of Cheetah. tour should begin at 3 o'clock. would take 1,5hour and still hight risk that cheetah doesn't want to communicate with us. she hadn't been feeling too co-operative today. it was hot 32C. I asked what rest want... wel, walking for Evelina was too much and they would miss chance to go to slide. it wil close at 5 oclock. we also have to pass many black village and that time it wil be busy. we desided to give up and hit the road on time. then not Cheetah cuddelen. next time. we were fortunately in ok time. schoolkids came already out of school so traffic was getting more and more. that 85km took us still long enough, but we arrived half past 4. just in time that kids could run out of their energy. tonight we ate here. we made mistake with ordering steaks with miska and got huge 500g steak on plate. oh noo, I didn't had very much money anymore and edwin also not. he had even ordered red wine bottle, what was too strong for me to drink. i was worried if I could pay us out. Edwin got peanut in his nose of all of my worring and desided to take off. pffff! duss again spending evening alone with Miska. My apetite was disappeard and I couldn't finish up even kwart of beef. Miska had no problems, so almost 1kg steak was fast disappeard. I didn't want to go back to cabin, but stayed awhile outside. nights got really chili here so after an hour i had to give up. Edwin snorked rustig in bed. pffff! one sleepless night ahead. I couldn't see it anymore, that this trip would turn good. just too busy sceptual. hier kilometers are very long... for 100km you need really 2,5h-3h. ai jai. we'll see what tomorrow brings...
