elifant interaction, night safari

One more early morning to wake up. I wanted to arrange elifant interaction for kids. I went to ask reseptionist to call for me to Eliphant Whisperers nearby. Unfortunately they didn't have free place anymore. She called to eliphants sanctuary, which was also near and there we could go straight away. We came little late, so we missed washing them. Didn't matter, we were on time voor interaction, touching, feeding and walking with them. They are huge. He weight around 5000 kg. hmmm...not nice to get him stepping on your foot. so watch your step, or beter say be careful with your toes. He was captures for replacing, but it didn't work out. He couldn't make it without his partner, who was brought to him year later. Now they are together. Problem is that there's too many eliphants in nature parks in South-Africa. They are distroying ecosysteem by ribbing of trees, which dies slowly. but back to interaction. We could touch him all over his body and he didn't mind, but he knew to ask his peanuts for thanking though. he can feel smallest fly on his thick skin because of little hairs on it. Miska and me, we got kiss from him too. Miska on his head and me on my throuth. That was very wet one. iiiuh! he put his trunk on skin and blew....with all thst peanut rests and sand on his trunk. Eeeeh!After this we could walk with him keeping his trunk in hand and walking in front of him. We were not allowed to stop even he let trunk loose. Then you just ask him crab your hand again while you walking forward. that's like hand in hand walking for them. Nice experience! This fun costed for adults 500 and kids 250 RAND. Meanwhile we were by eliphants, Edwin had packed our stuff and 10 o'clock we were ready to leave the room; destination Kruger park. At Hazywiew we needed to tank, filling leaking wheel, get some cash for and having lunch. Miska some pizza (2 for1 price), me salade,Evelina frites ( wat else???) and kipnuggets from mc donalds and Edwin kentucy fried chickens. This fun kosted us not more than 15?. it was around 2 hours ride to Kruger. Buswise safaries were situated at Marloth park, at area farming for Chicita bananas and sugar canes. At the gate they noticed only our car reg.plate and we could entry. Right behing gates there were zeepras and impalas hanging around. Not at all afraid of cars. amazing! We arrived good in time. House was beautiful african style decorated and big rooms!!!! absolutely worth of every penny. We could relax a moment at the bar getting know owner Tim. Her wife Annette we saw only shortly. very nice persons they are. Tim got very wel along with Edwin. That was great! Evelina jumped into freezing cold swimming pool. Nght are getting very cold hier this time of year, even if day temperature climb up 30 degrees. That's why water has no time to heat up . 15 over 3 we were taken to night safari with Miska and 3 other persons coming from Belgium and France. We had to take big truck. I was not so happy about it first, but end of the trip it was better than jeep, because we had also big lamps both sides of the truck. Beter for spotting animals at the darkness. Miska could keep flashlight in hand and he turned to be good spotter. he spotted hyeena and 2 cats; civette and savannacat. those 2 last I was not able to get into photo. So pity! They hided into the bushes too fast. we saw actually lot and lot of animals, except big cats. also a pity, but tomorrow we had a new chanse. around 8 o'clock we came back. Night was cold. we didn't have enough warm clothes with us. prrr! almost freezing. At house we were served a dinner outside by barbeque. Edwin was not in speakable condition anymore, so I ingored him quite right away, what he couldn't bear and didn't come for dinner . I'm starting get use to it.....I was exhausted, Miska too. Evelina slept already. We were served soep and local meatpan. it was ok but we were really too tired and cold to be able to enjoy. Morning we had to take off 15 over 5. Now head in pillow and good night!!!!
